John Mayer can score a lot of ass, and I’m pretty sure he is well aware. Don’t believe me? Watch this clip.
After watching that 30 minute special on VH1 four years ago I went out and bought both Heavier Things and Room for Squares. I really recommend you should do the same, the man can flat out sing and play the guitar… Too bad he makes those creepy ass faces…
And he wore white pants the entire time during the concert I recently went to. He didn’t even bother wearing a shirt out, which was probably a good thing considering it was 108 degrees outside in Dallas that day.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the show. The sound was excellent even though we were near the back of Coca-Cola Starplex… no wait… Smirnoff Center… Superpages.com Center? Really? What a dumbass name. I think we could get some better sponsors… Maybe Colt 45? You know, everyone that lives in the ghetto surrounding the venue drinks it already, why not bring a more home-y feel to the SPC.
There were a few drawbacks to the concert, one of the big ones being the many girls screaming along to all of the lyrics… Although I did join them when Colbie Caillat played “Realize.” (Note to Colbie Caillat… It’s OK to interact with the audience, I promise.) Even worse, as the night went on, the screaming girls had more alcohol in them, and preceded to spill their beer on Sam and I. Not too fun. Another drawback, besides the white pants, Jeff Meyers decided not to play “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” “Split Screen Sadness” or “Bold As Love.” (Also, a good way to piss all the ovulating girls off is to scream “I love you JEFF MEYERS!” Try it if you ever go to his show. They’ll probably lecture you on the greatness of “3×5″)
In the end the good outweighed the bad, seeing “Free Falling” covered live by the sex machine that is John Mayer was pretty amazing, and I got to share that concert with some of my close friends. I’ll probably remember that hotter than hell of a Friday evening for many years to come…
Especially the part where my shirt was soaked in sweat, at least Jake was right there with me in the sweat contest.

Those are my three favorite songs of his (besides 3×5 and Tori). Did he play that piece of shit Daughters?
I’m so jealous right now.

I was at this show too…and the teenage girls were RIDICULOUS. I’m glad for your sake that the ones near you were screaming lyrics. The ones near me were in a giant circle screaming everytime a new one joined their cacophony. Half of them weren’t even facing the stage, and they were taking facebook pictures (and talking about it at the top of their lungs) the entire time. More interested, I thought later, in documenting their presence than in being present.
Luckily, John Mayer was shirtless…and he laid down on the stage with his guitar…and it was spellbinding.

Whoa. White pants? He still gets tail and wears those? Um..your site is hilarious. I’ve lurked for a while and worked up the guts to post. I’m a girl so that’s why I worked up ‘guts’ and not balls. You totally understand, right?

I saw Colbie a few years ago before anyone knew who she was. I have never seen someone with less stage presence.

I’d do him just because he’s done Jennifer Aniston and I would do Jennifer Aniston before I would do him anyday.
Wait.
What?

I was at his show in Phoenix and there were two middle aged stippers in front of us dancing and singing the lyrics to Vultures while John was playing I Don’t Trust Myself….not really sure how you get those two mixed up, but it sure was entertaining!

I saw Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers at Jobing.com Arena in AZ about two weeks ago. WTF kind of name is that for a concert venue? STUPID, that’s what it is.
