Last night I went to see my good friend Zachary Combs emcee at Hailey’s in Denton… Too bad we missed his set by about 15 minutes. I’ve known Zac… excuse me, Reflect June, for about ten years. I grew up with his brother, Eli, and we’re still good friends to this day. On his myspace page you should give a listen to his new single, East Dallas. He’s definitely not your everyday normal hip-hop. Also, if you’re in the Dallas area you should check out his art show tomorrow at the Fallout Lounge.
You should give his blog a read, he has some daily recaps of their family trip to Europe. Very interesting. Too bad we don’t have video of that one time we all dressed up in red t-shirts and did our hair in Coolio-style mini braids and drove around town.
Or do we? Sometimes you do stupid things when you’re fifteen…
You know, I guess you could say Zac is a normal guy a lot like me… Except he is a hip-hop artist. And he reads books… without pictures. He even puts up a good fight in Risk.
