18 years later and I STILL don’t smile with teeth.
Those are the steps of Straub elementary… One thing that stands out clear as day about the two years at Straub is these steps… and the time I broke my arm on the monkey bars. Different story, different day.
I can still remember my mom dropping me off at the bottom of these stairs to start off my day. Up the stairs, take a right, 2nd door on the right. That’s where my first grade classroom was… Crazy.

I get total flashbacks going back to my old schools. My primary (first) school is a government building now, sadly, but I still have memories of the front gates and all the outbuildings etc. And when I split my head open in some mad rounders game :-s Scary to think I left there nearly 20 years ago…eek!

I should visit my elementary school s0meday, it’s down the street. A couple years ago, my 2nd grade teacher was a customer of mine at work, I told her so and made her day by saying she hasn’t aged a bit since I last saw her. It’s true, she even still wears the same style glasses, it’s just too cute.

Going back through old picture and reliving elementary school days or anything like that sort of always makes me feel like yacking.
