I originally wrote about my knee pain back in 2005 when I was in bowling class and started experiencing pain after bowling a few frames. That pain had been gone for the most part for the past three years until recently. Every now and then I’d have a minor flare up with some minor pain, but for the past few weeks it’s just been bothering me on a daily basis. Probably due partly to playing basketball again, and partly to upping the weight on my leg workout. my mom gave me some of her anti-inflammatory medicine and I’m gonna take that for about a week and see if that does anything. If not I’ll go to the doctor and see if we can get this figured out.
I can fight through the pain and still workout and play basketball, so it’s probably not a tear or anything, hopefully. Just kind of sucks because I was doing good with this whole weight loss thing and then this pops up again THREE FREAKING YEARS LATER!

Also, I don’t know if you use a treadmill at all, but if you do STOP! Use an eliptical machine or something else, just don’t use a treadmill. Treadmills, and running in general, are so bad on your knees that even someone with perfect knees can ruin them, with or without stretching.

My brother tore his hip flexor this morning. It is a bad day for jointy body parts. EVERYONE SIT STILL!

I had osgood-schlatter too!
Just be glad you can work out. It’s a pain in the rear trying to lose 50 pounds when the only exercise your doctor will allow you to do is water aerobics. Um, yeah, have you noticed its 33 degrees outside?
Damn Arrant Brain Tail.

Hope you get better soon G
My sis has had lots of trouble with her knees, dodgy cartilage I think, and can’t do any weight bearing exercise at all. I did my knee in one time doing lunges so I’m a bit wary of it now, but it hurt like hell at the time!
