I be up in da gym just workin’ on my fitness

He’s my witness. WOOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEE!

OK enough Fergie.  Thanks to Heather, I’ve been going to the gym consistently for over a month now.  I really don’t like going alone, and even though we don’t even exercise together it provides me with motivation.  Kind of.  Not as much motivation as listening to Sexy Back while doing bench press.  That’s right ladies, I may look like a hardass lifting weights, but I’m totally dancing along to the beat in my head.

Our gym is a very quiet gym.  The maximum number of people not taking a pilates class is somewhere in the range of… 8 to 12.  90% of them doing cardio workouts.  Cardio workouts which until recently, I hadn’t done in… all of my life.  I’ve always hated running but I have forced myself to start riding the bike.  I don’t really care that I’m a very large man and the ladies don’t either.  I’d just like to get healthier and be able to run up and down the basketball court more than twice without passing out.

In the past few months I have lost a little over 30 pounds.  Partly due to the working out and partly due to the fact that I now live with two skinny birds.  I’ve felt really good about it lately.  There is just an awesome feeling you get when put on your pants and they fall off your ass.

Kind of makes you want to celebrate by eating a pop tart… or, maybe a banana instead.

    No GEORGE! You celebrate by eating Wendy’s after a good cardio workout. Like me. :) Seriously though, I’m glad you’re feeling good.

    That’s really awesome. Did you take a before full body picture so that you can take an “after?” Maybe that’d be too much excitement for your ladies. Anyway, way to go!

    i wish i had that kind of motivation too! my roommates go to the gym regularly, which is free, usually empty, open 24 hours, and part of our apt complex. it even has a pool and a hot tub for after if i felt like it. if i still can’t get my ass in there with all that i’m not sure how i ever will. sigh.

    anyways, good work george :D

    your gym is that empty? that is so rad. I work out at my apartment complex gym and it has crap equipment but I hate the crowds. You are so lucky..

    I wish I had time to work out lately, it’s been crazy the past few weeks and I haven’t had time to go once :-( I miss it when I don’t go, I enjoy the ‘dancing along to the beat in my head’ part!

    30 pounds in the last few months???!!! you say that like it’s nothing. guys lose weight so much faster than women. it’s not fair i say.

    30 Pounds!!! George!!! How many exclamations points can I possibly employ to express the wonder that is losing 30 pounds? Yet you toss it out so casually, like, I have a cavity, I got a haircut and I lost 30 pounds.

    Duuuude. Keep it up and maybe I’ll run into you in the Smith’s and your pants will be falling off and I’ll be like, dude, I just saw George!’s ass.
