“Looks ok, but we need a few changes. While these are great songs to listen to, they aren’t common dance songs and we need to switch the ratio to more common dance songs and a few good listening songs. In the past, we’ve had a problem with people thinking the music in Carrollton is lame. People actually leave the dance because of the lack of good dance songs. The thing to remember here is that it’s a dance, not a concert - so we want people to dance. We need to give the people what they want! We need to make sure to have more variety. There is no country and really only one “dance” song - Britney Spears. Here’s a list of songs that need to be switched. You can keep one or two from the list – make sure they’re your favorites! Make sure that you mix up the songs – don’t do a long run of 80s songs, just mix them in. Same with the slow songs.”
Songs that were rejected.
Echo - Incubus - Their best slow song. Ever.
A Mess to Be Made - The Format - sigh.
LET’S GO CRAZY - PRINCE - ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
ALWAYS SOMETHING THERE TO REMIND ME - NAKED EYES - ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Foo Fighters - Times Like These (Acoustic) - Apparently dancing to slow acoustic songs is out of the question.
Too Young - Phoenix - That dancy little number on Lost in Translation right before the karaoke scene.
We Built This City - Starship - This song is great. period.
Daft Punk Is Playing At My House - LCD Soundsystem - Kind of repetitive… but you can still dance to it.
Of All the Gin Joints in All the World - Fall Out Boy - I refuse to play dance dance.
GET OUTTA MY DREAMS, GET INTO MY CAR - BILLY OCEAN - I hate life.
CARS - GARY NUMAN - Eh. Could go either way with this.
Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears For Fears - pff.
One More Night - Phil Collins - Again, Mormons don’t like slow classic 80s songs.
Need You Tonight - INXS - Dun dun dun. Dundundundundunna.
Hungry Like The Wolf - Duran Duran - This really makes me think of the scene in Old School, so I’d probably laugh the whole time I played it.
Take Me Home Tonight - Eddie Money - I don’t wanna let you go until you see the light.
Take On Me - A-Ha - GREATNESS
Two-Timing Touch and Broken Bones - The Hives - It’s only 2 minutes long.
Head Over Heels - Tears For Fears - I like this one better than everybody wants to rule the world.
Send Me an Angel - Real Life - Right now.
Got My Mind Set on You - George Harrison - If we don’t play it, no one will. I mean come on, he died.

You have really bad taste in music. You know, “We Built This City” was voted one of the worst songs of all time, right? And George Harrison? Geez! You need to be slapped upside the head.
