One thing I hate about professional athletes? The constant bitching about money. No matter what sport, be it Terrell Owens or Latrell Sprewell needing to feed/provide for their families.
SHUT UP
You make multimillions per year, I don’t think you need any more money, unless they are eating those chocolate Sundays made with real gold in them… EVERY SINGLE DAY! Then we can talk. (Don’t think they’re real? Google them, I saw it on VH1, VH1 doesn’t lie.)
What brought about this recent rant? Specifically the complaining about the NBA establishing a new dress code, which I think is a good idea. David Stern is saying it’s not as bad as everyone thinks, so Allen Iverson should quit worrying about being able to wear his bling when he starts to suffer from ‘tennis elbow’ from shooting 50 shots a game come March.
Marcus Camby made the most RIDICULOUS statement yet. I just read this on ESPN not more than five minutes ago.
“Denver Nuggets center Marcus Camby added that the players should receive a stipend to pay for the clothes.”
Do you really need an ALLOWANCE? Camby does speak from experience, playing 40 out of the 82 regular season games for the past eight years can add up in the total amount of money he spends clothes he wears to SIT ON THE DAMN BENCH YOU BIG SISSY!
Do you need another million per year because all those local endorsements and the big shoe contract you have not cover the extra 400 dollars to buy a suit at Sears? I’ve seen some of the clothes you people wear in the NBA… It’s like you break into Ruben Studdard’s house and steal one of his white t’s and a pair of jeans and put on a one hundred thousand dollar watch.
The dress code doesn’t require bling, why don’t you donate more to the red cross than you spend on your bling every year and then we can talk about a stipend.
Yes I’m talking to you who all playing in the Katrina Celebrity game “Everyone donated at least ten thousand dollars.” That’s like me donating a quarter.
Stop being selfish, signing autographs and handing out basketballs didn’t really help the evacuees, now did it?
