Anyway, the 3rd staple of our family would be anything that is chicken related, we’ll eat it, well, most anything. Unless you’re Granny Boone, she eats chicken gizzard and CHICKEN ANUS. ew.

Anyway, I say that a lot…. ahem… I ordered some wings from Wing Stop the other night. HOT DAMN. They have the BEST wings on the face of the earth. Heather and Jon, I’d tell you to order some, but they don’t have them in Utah, yet another reason to hate the state. Back to the other night, I got the Cajun and Hawaiian barbecue (by far the best HB wings on the face of the earth), I decided to go with the Cajun because, hey, they couldn’t be THAT hot. MAN WAS I A MORON TO THINK THAT. The minute I took a bite I was SWEATING. This normally only happens when I eat Haberno Pepper salsa or we dare each other to eat one of those peppercini things at Steak N Shake (BAD IDEA). But man, these wings were ON FIRE. Yet, I could not stop eating them they were so delicious with blue cheese dressing.

My mouth is watering just thinking about them.

Another example, I have vivid memories of an eating out experience when I was about 4 or 5 years old. We were at your normal everyday run-of-the-mill crappy family restaurant, I had a salad with Catalina dressing (it was a tough decision between that and 1000 island, which I don’t think I’ve ever eaten in my life, no idea why I wanted it, I don’t know why I remember that either), and Granny Boone got some fried chicken. Granny actually CRACKED open the bones when she was done and ate the marrow. To this day she still does it, a gross habit we have to forbid her from if someone new is getting to know the family, that and taking out her teeth after eating.

I think this gene comes from Granny, because Heather obviously has it too. One of the last times I was there we DEVOURED some chicken wings while watching the season finale of Survivor.
