Whenever Heather posted about eating Oreos on her website, I decided I had to go out and buy some for the one day road trip. When I arrived at my local Wal*Mart grocery (yes, no store is necessary, it’s grocery), I went ahead and bought regular AND chocolate creme Oreos. One word of advice if you buy the chocolate creme Oreos…. do NOT leave them out in your car, because when they melt, it looks like someone pooped all over your Oreos, and nobody really likes thinking about poop while you’re eating Oreos. You’d think I would have just thrown them away, but they’re just that good and who doesn’t love a good Oreo? Especially covered in brown chocolate goodness… mmmmmmmmm.
Anyway, while my Mom was looking through the cupboard today and she got a little angry.
Mom: DO NOT BRING OREOS IN THIS HOUSE ANYMORE!
George: Why not?
Mom: I can’t stop eating them!
George: I’m sorry you have no will power, unlike you I can be satisfied with just one.
My Mom has turned over a new healthier leaf in the past year or so. Which has been for the better. My Dad suffers from Diabetes, and I’ll probably end up getting it too, the only way to really control it is eating healthier.
It’s just good to have something sweet and fattening every now and then dammit, I know the rest of the family enjoyed those Oreos, Tiffany said Robert was just talking about Oreos a few days before he came over and had some, and my Dad LOVES Oreos. Why not bring a little joy to the family?
I’m tired of eating horse oat cookies.
