North Carolina is one of the most widely liked basketball teams in America, partly because everybody likes Michael Jordan, and everybody used to like Vince Carter.

Now this really bugs me, I dislike fair weather fans very much, and I HAAAAAAAATE talking to people about college sports when they don’t know what the hell they’re talking about. Like all the people that tried to talk to me before the Utah v Kentucky game and they’d say things like, “How are they going to handle Bogut?” I would reply with something like “I dunno, maybe with the 3 people they have on their bench that are 6′10″ or taller? They’re going to play him physically as well.”

Then they’d say something like, “Oklahoma did that last game, did you see what happened?”

Which I’d have to say, “Did you see they shot 25% from the field? Anyone who shoots that badly is going to lose. Plus, did you know Kentucky’s Rajon Rondo broke the all-time record for single season steals at Kentucky as a FRESHMAN? He’ll be able to apply pressure and keep the guards from getting the ball into Bogut easily.”

The best part right here, “Well you always pick Kentucky to win it all, even when they aren’t in the tournament.”

Got any more BRAIN BUSTERS? Here comes the Killer, “Well they are the most winning college basketball team of all time, and they have been in the tournament about 14 or 15 years straight now, it’s kinda hard to go against them.”

Anyway, back to North Carolina. How could I not like them after this?
